Eat & Drink

We think the best coffee in town is found at Harry Pepper Coffee which occupies a spacious converted warehouse location just around the corner from the main street of shops in the town centre. As well as delicious coffee, they serve up a limited food menu which includes some delicious cookies. They’re a great choice for early risers, open from 6:30am every day except Sunday when they get going at 8am. Deniliquin is home to several classic country pubs but our favourite is the Exchange Hotel. The drinks are cold, the prices are reasonable and the Chicken Schnitzel never fails to hit the spot. If you’re wanting to cook on site there is an ample sized camp kitchen and several BBQ areas, but do note you will need to BYO pots, pans and plates.

To Do List

Getting out on the river is always at the top of our to do list when we arrive here and if you haven’t got a boat, don't worry, the park has several pontoon boats available for hire which don’t require a licence. They are the perfect vessel for a relaxing cruise around the interesting river area, be sure to cast a line and see if you can catch the region's famed Murray Cod. If you fancy swimming somewhere other than the pool at the park the river is a great spot for a dip and you’ll find several banks of sand as you cruise along. Deniliquin is home to the famous annual Deni Ute Muster, a two-day event that sees twenty-thousand people descend on the town to enjoy Country Music and a range of other rural-centric entertainment including Camel Racing, Monster Truck Rides, Tradie competitions and more. If you don’t happen to be here when the festival is on, it’s still well worth a visit to the festival site where there is a museum and you can learn all about the history of this fantastic event that was established in 1999 with the very specific purpose of putting Deni on the map. Within the park itself, there’s plenty to do and thanks to its extensive entertainment focused facilities, this park is a kids paradise. Whether it’s bouncing on the jumping pillow, cruising around on Pedal Karts, enjoying the multiple pools and splash cart, tearing away on the Flying Fox or enjoying a game of Basketball, Tennis or Mini Golf, there’s no shortage of activities and fun to be had even if you stay on site the whole time.

Heads Up

The trade off of this park’s secluded riverside location is that it isn’t a short walk into the main town area of Deniliquin. It can certainly be done, but you’re looking at approximately 3 km from the park to the main area of shops.
