Eat & Drink

Baked @ Beachport is our go to for a morning coffee and more often than not, a delicious sweet treat to go with it from their selection of country bakery style delicacies. The vanilla slice is unsurprisingly, exceptional. Located right at the start of the famous Beachport Jetty you’ll find Beachport Brewing Co., a craft brewery located in a converted fish factory. They’re open from Wednesday to Sunday in the afternoons and serve up some delicious food from a rotating selection of food trucks to go with your beers or cocktails. The Beachport Hotel has a classic coastal pub feel to it, despite not sitting directly on the water. Pop past for a drink or stay for a meal, of course in an area like this you can’t go wrong with any of their seafood dishes. If you’re just wanting to get something to enjoy back at your accommodation they do have a take away menu on offer which includes a range of pizzas on the weekend.

To Do List

Our favourite beach in the area is the extremely well protected Salmon Hole, a picturesque curving stretch of turquoise waters that are great for a swim or for casting a line. You’ll find it approximately 15 minutes walk from the park. Speaking of fishing, this area is a fisherman's paradise with options off the jetty, out in the ocean and of course at the rocks where you’re likely to find the area's most famous seafood delicacy - crayfish. A slightly left field option for a swim is the Pool Of Siloam, a saltwater lake that is known to be seven times as salty as the ocean and possess therapeutic benefits. For some dry land activity, we’re big fans of doing the walk up to the lighthouse, heading out the famous Beachport Jetty or simply going for a stroll around the gorgeous green surrounds of the Holiday Park. Keep your eyes out when you’re wandering around the park in the early evening and you might even spot a wombat! If you’re keen to go for a drive and explore the Limestone Coast region further we highly recommend checking out Robe, just 30 minutes away by car.

Heads Up

You’ll hear many people talk about how windy Beachport and this stretch of coastline in South Australia can be, but this park is exceptionally well sheltered and you will barely notice it.
