Eat & Drink

At a stay like this, we love to maximise our time on site. We recommend that if you’re similarly inclined, come well stocked with your provisions. There are limited facilities on site so we’d also recommend bringing your own gas cooktop or similar if possible. If not, you are able to light fires here which gives you plenty of options cooking wise. Drinking water is also available. If you are keen on a meal out, Flame Hill Vineyard is a 40-minute drive away but well worth it for some wine tasting and a delicious lunch at their deck restaurant looking out over this beautiful property. The menu is simple and focuses on local produce. At our last visit the stand out dish was a Wild Mushroom Risotto, made with locally sourced mushrooms, their own wine and topped with parmesan shavings - delicious.

To Do List

A short walk away from the campgrounds you’ll find the peaceful waters of the beautiful Mary Creek. This is a great spot for a quick swim, or to get out on kayak or canoe and explore these waters that wind through this lush hinterland area. If you’re travelling with a bike there’s plenty of trails in the area, have a chat to the management team at the park for the best directions on where to head. If you are keen to explore on four legs rather than two wheels, getting out on horseback is a brilliant way to explore this area and the team at Mary Valley Adventure Trails offer various options from half day to full day trail rides and can also tailor private lessons to your specific wants and needs. Whilst immersing yourself in the peace of nature is the perfect way to spend an entire trip at this park, if you are keen to get out and explore a bit further the town of Eumundi is a 30 minute drive away and well worth a visit on Wednesday and Saturday mornings when their famous craft markets are operating.

Heads Up

Whilst there are no powered sites here, there are USB Charging Points in the toilet block and generators are welcome although only to be used between 7am and 7pm and with no more than 3 hours of continuous usage.
