Nearby Manning River is a picturesque spot and offers some incredible sunset views with several of the area's best eating and drinking options located nearby. Our go to for enjoying these views is the Harrington Hotel, a beautiful federation era building serving up cold beers, bistro classics and plenty of fresh seafood. It also has a great kids menu. In the morning, Hey Little Fishy is our favourite spot for coffee and breakfast. The corn fritters topped with a perfectly cooked poached egg are always a go-to order and the staff are very friendly. Do note that it is closed on Wednesday and Thursday. When the takeaway craving hits, head to is Nate’s Pizzeria who serve up delicious and filling no-nonsense pizzas and handily deliver to the Holiday Park if you don’t feel like making the walk or drive yourself. For meals within the park, the Camp Kitchen area has plenty of space to cook and to sit and includes multiple BBQs.

There’s no shortage of activities to keep the kids entertained within the park, the pool is particularly a favourite and the waterpark always provides plenty of laughs, particularly the giant tipping bucket. The always popular Pedal Karts are also available for hire and great for kids to zoom around the park on. Directly accessible from the park, Harrington Lagoon is a great spot for fishing and you’ll be sure to find plenty of bream about. The nearby breakwall is also a well known fishing spot, and if you’ve got access to a boat you can head out on the ocean with several spots to find snapper, tailor and more. The lagoon is also a fantastic swimming spot, particularly for kids. If you’re keen on a beach swim, we think the best option is about 5 minutes drive away at Crowdy Head. There’s a few different spots here, the bay beach is beautiful and protected making it a great spot for swimming, kayaking and SUPing and we highly recommend going for a walk up to the lighthouse and taking in the stunning views over the Crowdy Head Cliffs.

The stretch of sand at Harrington Beach does look nearby on the map, but to access this strip of coastline north from the park you will need a 4WD.
