Mar and Dars is about 5 minutes walk away and is our go to spot for coffee. Open 7 days from 8am and serving up great coffee and a limited menu of breakfast classics such as Avo Toast, Granola and their famous Brekkie Burger - a delicious stack of egg, bacon, avocado, spinach tomato relish, hash brown and cheese on a soft bun. The local Bowlo is a fantastic place for a cold drink on the deck or a meal. Far from just your regular standard counter-meals, the Brasserie here prides itself on its cooking with a menu of delicious share plates, pub classics and pizzas including a great kids menu. It’s a true crowd pleaser and in the holiday periods you’ll definitely need a booking. About 20 minutes drive away, Cuppitt’s Estate is a great place to visit and features a winery, brewery, fromagerie and restaurant. We highly recommend the “Tour & Taste” session where you’ll get to sample their beers and wines and learn about the history of this family owned and run venue with a knowledgeable guide. If you’re planning to stay on site and use the communal facilities, both the Camp Kitchen and BBQ areas are well maintained.

When it's time for a swim, the first stop should always be the newly renovated swimming pool and splash pad within the park which the kids will love. A short walk out to Lake Conjola is also great for a dip. Given the flat waters of the lake, one of the best ways to explore the area is aboard a kayak or SUP, if you haven’t brought your own vessel they are available to hire from the park reception. If you enjoy fishing, you’ve come to the right place. There’s plenty of flathead and bream to be caught year round, and in the warmer months the lake is a great place for prawning. If you’ve brought a boat, this is a popular spot for water skiing and wakeboarding and thanks to the on site boat ramp you’ll have easy access to get out on the water. 

This is quite a large park with natural bushland on one side and the water on the other, so if you have a preference as to where you like to be then make sure you note it when you book and the team will do their best to accommodate you. The only way to guarantee a water view is by booking a Safari Tent or one of the Water View Cabins.
