Eat & Drink

Unspoiled natural beauty is a big part of the charm of this location which meeans unless you’re prepared to go for a bit of a drive we recommend bringing enough supplies along that you can look after yourself from a catering perspective. Whilst there isn't a Camp Kitchen, the BBQ areas are great and with a picture perfect location like this, you'd be silly not to enjoy many a meal on the beach. If you are keen to hop in the car, our favourite spot nearby is the Milton Hotel, located just 15 minutes away in the town of Milton. A perfect spot to enjoy a beer, or if you’re after a meal this is definitely a more sophisticated offering than your regular pub.

To Do List

We’re all about getting amongst nature when we visit this pristine spot. The park itself sits on a small inlet where the creek meets the sea, which means very calm waters right at your doorstep that are perfect for kids to play in but only a short walk if you’re keen to get to a surf beach. There’s several great fishing spots and you’re likely to catch some Eastern Rock Blackfish which are incredibly tasty cooked straight over the BBQ at the park. Meroo National Park is a short walk away at roughly 15 minutes. Once there, we love the “Pot Holes” walking track to get amongst nature, a 3km return trip within the national park where you can admire the vibrant colours of various wildflowers.

Heads Up

There are several permanent sites which are located in the centre of the park and what you will walk past as soon as you walk in - don’t be alarmed, these are not the sites that you will be staying in. Facilities wise, there is no camp kitchen and showers are coin operated - you’ll need two 20c coins for a 4 minute shower.
