One Mile Beach doesn’t have many options but you will find One Mile Cafe & Bar just a short walk away. They’re open daily from 7am to 8pm and are your go to spot for a coffee, meal or a drink at any time throughout the day. If you want to expand your options, make the 5 minute drive to nearby Anna Bay township where you’ll find a few more restaurants and takeaway shops that are clustered together on Gan Gan Rd. We’re fans of grabbing a pizza from Romanza Pizzeria and taking it back to the park to enjoy. Within the park the Camp Kitchen has been recently renovated and offers all you need, the space is particularly nice for enjoying a meal and socialising with your fellow travellers.
To Do List
Directly out the front of the park you’ll find One Mile Beach, a 1.3 km curved stretch of beach that is also known as Anna Bay. The best spot for a swim is at the Southern end (turn right as you walk out of the park onto the beach) which is patrolled in the summer months. There are several good surf spots along the beach, and where you go will depend on the conditions of the day. Within the park, the Swimming Pool is expansive and resort-style, including a shallower area and a water slide that will keep kids entertained all day. If it’s not swimming weather, kids will be able to keep themselves entertained at the Basketball Court, Tennis Court, Mini Golf Course or Games Room.
Heads Up
Whilst there isn’t a township at One Mile Beach, you’ll be able to pick up supplies in Anna Bay (5 minutes drive away) or Nelson Bay (10 minutes drive away) if needed.
