Eat & Drink
On site you’ll find the Sea Dog Jervis Bay Food Truck. From Friday - Monday they serve up a delicious range of takeaway brekky food (think filled Croissants and Bacon and Egg rolls) as well as coffee from 8am - 10am. On Friday nights you’ll find the team working after hours cooking up some delicious burgers in the evening. For coffee lovers who want to explore, a trip to Albert N Miso in Vincentia is a must. If you’re a fan of a pub with a water view then look no further than the Huskisson Hotel, in nearby (approx. 2 km away) Huskisson. This is a great spot for a drink at any time in the afternoon or evening that also serves up fresh seafood, burgers, pizzas and pub classics. If you’re looking to cook on site, there is a great camp kitchen as well as BBQ facilities.
To Do List
There’s plenty to explore within the park, and we love the resort style swimming pool here which has a cleverly designated ‘splash zone’, meaning those who want to use the pool for more relaxing activities are able to. If you love the beach, immediately make your way to the white sands and crystal clear waters of Hyams Beach. There’s a reason it frequently features on lists of the best beaches in the world, and we don’t think a visit to the Jervis Bay area is complete without a dip in these incredible waters. Given this area is a designated marine park there’s plenty of incredible sea life around. We highly recommend the tours offered by the team at Jervis Bay Wild Cruises to check out the local dolphins or whales migrating if you’re there at the right time of year.
Heads Up
Whilst this is a beautiful location, it’s just over 2 km from the main street of Huskisson which may be a little too far for those who like to be able to stroll to their nearest shops. The on site coffee van is very helpful for solving this problem in the mornings!
