Eat & Drink

Mornings are often started with a stroll up to the famous Hastings St. We recommend heading up to the western end to get beyond the main hustle and bustle and enjoy a coffee and perhaps something to eat at Moonstruck. It’s going to be hard to beat a spot overlooking the river at the Holiday Park when it comes to a sunset drink, but if there’s one spot that may come close it’s the Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club. The large bistro and extensive balcony overlooks Noosa Main Beach and is the perfect place for a cold drink or counter meal at any time of the day. If you’re keen to splash out or in Noosa for a special occasion, we can’t go past Ricky’s River Bar & Restaurant for incredible food and uninterrupted views up the river. We highly recommend booking a table in daylight hours so you can enjoy all this amazing location has to offer.

To Do List

With such a beautiful spot we wouldn’t blame you if you just wanted to spend your days perched on a chair taking in the magnificent Noosa River view and taking the occasional dip, but if you are keen to explore this is a town with plenty to do. Noosa Main Beach (also known as Laguna Bay) should be at the top of your list. This well protected beach has a gentle swell and is patrolled on weekends and public holidays from the start of the September school holidays until the May Day long weekend each season. The Noosa Coastal Walk that tracks through Noosa National Park is an iconic path that showcases one of Australia’s most famous coastlines in all its glory. Stretching 10.8km return from Noosa Heads to Sunshine Beach, this glorious walk weaves through the National Park and the surrounding coastline, with breathtaking ocean views and lush nature and if you’re lucky - you’ll even spot a koala or two. Plenty of Noosa’s unique beauty is due to its river system and you can’t properly appreciate this without getting out on the water in the river itself. There’s several tours available, but if you’re confident enough we highly recommend hiring a boat yourself and exploring these stunning waterways where you’ll see some of Australia’s most expensive houses contrasted against unspoiled mangroves. There’s several available that don’t require a licence and run at a very safe speed.

Heads Up

This is a very popular location, we recommend that you book well in advance particularly if you are looking to travel during school holiday periods.
