Beachcomber Holiday Park, Potato Point

An eco-focussed park set between National Park and beach where wallabies freely roam in natural surroundings with great accommodation options.

First Impressions
After a winding road takes you through Eurobodalla National Park, you pop out and are struck by the location. A park that almost feels like it has been carved into a wedge sitting directly between National Park and incredible beach. Wander into the park and the sense of wonder only grows further as you see wallabies hopping about or lazing around in various pockets of the park, seemingly without a care in the world about the people who stroll past them. The community minded, sustainability focused values of the ownership team shine through in everything that’s done here and this connection in values runs through to the travellers who visit, making for a lovely atmosphere of like-minded people.

The Offering
For those looking for a vehicle or camping site, there is a broad offering of spacious sites, the majority of which are unpowered but have spectacular ocean views and beachfront positioning. If you need a Powered Site, they are available but given they are connected into an off grid, solar-powered system they aren’t suitable for high electricity consuming appliances. If you’re looking for Cabin type accommodation, this comes in four different categories - beach houses, bungalows, cabins and shacks, and can house up to six people. All Cabins have covered decks and come with outdoor settings and a gas BBQ.   This isn’t the sort of place to come to if you’re after the broad, resort style facilities, but there are still some great offerings for those who like to cook. Choose from the large camp kitchen with free gas BBQs as well as a pizza oven. Dough for bases can be purchased from reception, but you’ll need to bring your own toppings!

Our Digs
We parked the caravan on a Beach View Unpowered site, staying in the spirit of this eco-friendly park and just utilising small amounts of our own power when needed
