Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Booking Terms and Conditions (“Booking Terms”) apply to all reservations made through the ParkBooker.com platform (“ParkBooker”), operated by ParkBooker Pty Ltd ABN 59 887 581 446 (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By proceeding with a booking, you (“you” or “Guest”) agree to be bound by these Booking Terms, as well as:

ParkBooker enables the discovery and booking of holiday parks and campsites across Australia. We act as a booking platform on behalf of independent Parks. When you make a booking, your contract is directly with the Park you select. ParkBooker does not own, operate, or control the Parks listed on the platform.

We provide the booking interface and limited support services, but we are not responsible for the provision, condition, or experience of the accommodation or facilities—that responsibility lies with the Park.

Nothing in these Booking Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded by law.

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 Making a Booking

Bookings are made via the ParkBooker.com platform and are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a booking confirmation email or webpage containing your unique booking reference number.

When you make a booking, you agree to be bound by:

  • These Booking Terms and Conditions
  • The individual Park’s rules, policies, and listing details as displayed at the time of booking
  • The applicable cancellation and refund policy for your selected Park

2.2 Payment Terms

To secure a booking, full payment is required at the time of booking, unless otherwise stated on the payment page. All prices displayed are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST), where applicable.

ParkBooker may offer Parks the ability to accept deposits or partial payments in specific cases, in which event the balance must be paid in full by the due date shown during checkout. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in automatic cancellation of the booking without refund.

2.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through a third-party payment provider, Stripe. ParkBooker does not store your full credit card information.

By submitting your payment information, you authorise ParkBooker or its third-party payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the total amount, including any applicable taxes, fees, or surcharges.

2.4 Pricing Errors & Corrections

While we make every effort to ensure that pricing and availability are accurate, occasional errors may occur. If a significant pricing error is discovered after a booking is made, ParkBooker reserves the right to cancel the booking and issue a full refund.

2.5 Invoicing & Receipts

A receipt will be issued to the email address provided at checkout upon successful payment. If you require the invoice to be made out to a company or different name, you must submit a request to support@parkbooker.com.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

3.1 Park Cancellation Policies Apply

Each Park listed on ParkBooker may set its own cancellation and refund policy, which is clearly stated on the Park’s listing page and/or during the booking process. By proceeding with a booking, you agree to be bound by that Park’s specific policy.

If no Park-specific cancellation policy is stated, ParkBooker’s Default Policy (see below) will apply.

3.2 ParkBooker Default Cancellation Policy

If a Park does not specify a cancellation policy, the following applies:

  • Cancellation 14 days or more before check-in: full refund
  • Cancellation less than 14 days: no refund
  • No-shows & Early Departures: No refunds are provided
  • Non-refundable Offers: Bookings marked as non-refundable are final

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method and may take up to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.

3.3 Force Majeure / Acts Beyond Your Control

If your stay is affected by an event beyond your control (e.g. natural disaster, government travel restriction, major illness), you may request a refund or credit. Whether this is granted is subject to the individual Park’s discretion unless mandated by law.

ParkBooker will assist in facilitating communication with the Park but does not guarantee the outcome.

3.4 Booking Amendments by the Park

If the Park cancels your booking or is unable to honour your reservation (e.g. due to double-booking or temporary closure), you will be offered a:

  • Full refund, or
  • Rebooking at a later date, subject to availability

ParkBooker is not liable for any losses, costs, or damages beyond the amount paid for the booking.

3.5 How to Cancel

You can request a cancellation:

  • By contacting our customer support team at support@parkbooker.com

Cancellations are effective from the time the request is received, not when sent.

4. Changes to Bookings

4.1 Guest-Initiated Changes

You may request to change the details of your booking (such as travel dates, guest count, or vehicle type) by contacting ParkBooker Support.

All booking changes are subject to availability, Park approval, and applicable change fees, if any.

4.2 Change Deadlines

Unless otherwise stated by the Park, the following timeframes apply:

  • Changes allowed up to 14 days before check-in

4.3 Change Fees

A change fee may apply (e.g. $25 per booking amendment), and you may be charged any price difference between the original booking and the new dates, rate, or configuration.

If the revised booking is of lesser value, the price difference will not be refunded, unless approved by the Park.

4.4 Permitted Changes

Subject to availability and Park discretion, the following changes may be allowed:

  • Changing arrival or departure dates
  • Changing the number of guests, vehicles, or pets
  • Changing the type of accommodation (e.g. from cabin to powered site)
Changing the booking to another Park (rare; generally requires cancellation + rebooking)

4.5 Force Majeure Rebooking

If your stay is disrupted by an unforeseen event beyond your control (see Section 3.3), we may offer a credit or voucher for future travel instead of a refund. This is at our discretion unless otherwise required by law.

4.6 Booking Transfers

Bookings are not transferable to another person without our written consent. Any attempt to resell or transfer a booking without approval may result in cancellation with no refund.

5. Park Rules, Entry & Guest Responsibility

5.1 Park Rules & Entry

Each Park sets its own check-in and check-out times, site rules, pet policies, and occupancy limits. These are available on the listing page or confirmation email. By completing your booking, you agree to comply with the Park’s rules during your stay.

5.2 Your Responsibilities as a Guest

As a guest, you agree to:

  • Only bring the number of people, pets, and vehicles declared at booking
  • Supervise children and pets at all times
  • Respect site-specific quiet hours and usage rules
  • Leave the Park in good condition (including removal of rubbish)

5.3 Damage, Cleaning, and Extra Charges

You are responsible for any loss, damage, or excessive cleaning resulting from your stay. The Park may impose additional charges for:

  • Damage to facilities or accommodation
  • Missing items
  • Pet-related mess or breach of pet policy
  • Smoking in non-smoking areas
  • Additional unregistered guests or vehicles

Some Parks may request a bond or pre-authorisation at check-in. This is at the Park’s discretion and may be processed directly by the Park.

5.4 Eviction and Refusal of Entry

Parks reserve the right to refuse entry or remove guests without refund if:

  • You breach the Park’s rules
  • You act in a disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful manner
  • The booking details were inaccurate or misleading

5.5 ParkBooker's Role

ParkBooker is not responsible for enforcing Park rules or mediating disputes that arise from guest conduct during a stay. We will, however, support communication between you and the Park if a serious issue arises.

6.Disputes, Liability & Jurisdiction

6.1 Disputes with Parks

ParkBooker is not a party to the agreement between you and the Park. If a dispute arises regarding the experience, services, facilities, conduct, or policies of a Park, you must raise the matter directly with the Park in the first instance.

ParkBooker will, where appropriate, assist in facilitating communication between you and the Park, but we are not responsible for resolving or arbitrating disputes between guests and Parks.

6.2 Disputes with ParkBooker

If you believe ParkBooker has breached these Booking Terms, please contact us promptly at support@parkbooker.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.

If a resolution cannot be reached, you may pursue further action in accordance with the jurisdiction outlined below.

6.3 Liability Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • ParkBooker makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the Park’s services, facilities, safety, availability, or policies
  • ParkBooker is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense (including indirect, consequential, or punitive damages) arising from your stay at a Park
  • The Park is solely responsible for delivering the services associated with your booking

Where liability cannot be excluded (e.g. under the Australian Consumer Law), ParkBooker’s total liability to you is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the amount you paid for the booking associated with the claim.

6.4 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that staying at a holiday park, campground, or caravan park involves some degree of inherent risk (e.g. exposure to natural elements, wildlife, terrain, or shared facilities). You agree to assume full responsibility for yourself, your companions, and any minors or pets in your care during your stay.

Parks may require you to sign additional waivers or declarations as a condition of entry.

6.5 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Booking Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot be excluded.

7.Changes to Booking Terms

7.1 Right to Update

ParkBooker may update or modify these Booking Terms at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted to the Website, unless stated otherwise.

We may provide notice of material changes by email or through prominent notices on the Website, particularly if changes significantly affect your rights or obligations.

7.2 Continued Use as Acceptance

By making a booking after updated Booking Terms have been published, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should not proceed with a booking.
