All are spacious and have double concrete slabs as well as individual power, water and sullage. We prefer the sites in the middle (Sites 3-8) as either end you will find yourself closer to amenties areas.

Eat & Drink

First things first, we love to make a trip to The Salt Mill in the morning for a coffee and if we’re feeling hungry, one of their delicious Acai Bowls or a sweet treat from the cabinet. You can dine here, but our preference is to get takeaway and head directly across the road to enjoy our coffee and food on the beach. If you’re keen to settle in for a longer lunch or dinner, you’re spoiled with options in Kingscliff but our two favourites are Taverna and Fins. At Taverna you’ll dine on delicious Greek classics in a light filled restaurant that feels like it has been transported from a Greek Island. Make sure you get a serve of the Slow-Roasted Lamb Shoulder and of course share it amongst your fellow diners. We’re sweet tooths and we can never go past the Baklava Plate when it comes to desert. Fins is on the fine-dining end of the spectrum with a seafood driven menu. Our favourite dish here is “Snowy’s Fish” - made up of market fresh fish of the day served with riesling & lemon, potatoes, local green vegetables and a fennel purée. For a cold drink with an ocean view and high quality bistro food, we can’t go past the Kingscliff Beach Hotel.

To Do List

Kingscliff is a great spot to cruise around in the water or on the land, and the team at WaterSports Guru have you covered if you haven’t travelled with any gear of your own. Here you can hire Kayaks and SUPs as well as E-Bikes. On bike, there’s a great track starting at North Kingscliff that will take you up to nearby Cabarita, a quaint but beautiful coastal town. This is a relatively flat ride and runs at 24 km return distance. If you’re on a SUP or Kayak the calm waters of Cudgen Creek are great to explore. If you feel like pampering yourself, there’s a couple of great spas in the area. Our recommendation would be The Spa at Salt. On the second and fourth Sunday of the month you’ll find the Kingscliff Market set up at Jack Bayliss Park on the foreshore at the northern end of town. They’re well worth a visit to indulge in some great food or browse crafts, artwork and more from local vendors.

Heads Up

Though all Sites are powered, smaller Sites are designated as “Tent Only” so be sure to check before finalising your booking. Whilst the park is very close to the border it is located in NSW so be sure to remember this when thinking about Check In and Check Out times due to the time difference during Eastern Daylight Saving Time.
