Eat & Drink
Given its location on the Gold Coast you’re spoiled for choices when it comes to eating and drinking, but we’ll stick with some recommendations that are particularly close to the park. Our favourite spot for coffee and breakfast is Espresso Moto Cafe, just 10 minutes walk away in Palm Beach. Here you’ll find breakfast classics and great coffee, open from 6am for the early birds. The thriving township of Burleigh Heads is just 15 minutes walk away across the bridge. Burleigh has a range of restaurants and cafes including the ever popular Rick Shores boasting some of the best views on the coast and an Asian inspired menu, be sure to book ahead. The Tallebudgera Surf Club is a short walk away and perfect for casual meals and cold drinks with a view - the Wagyu Beef Burger is one of our favourites. If you’re keen to remain at the park, there’s great camp kitchen and BBQ facilities and through School Holiday periods food trucks operating serving delicious meals and drinks. The offering in these is rotating but at our last visit there was a pizza truck, as well as a drinks truck operating serving ice cold beers and a lemon lychee spritz on tap.
To Do List
The park itself has direct access to Tallebudgera Creek and these waters are just as nice to look at as they are to get into. With calm, flat waters the creek is perfect for a whole range of on-water activity - swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing and boating. If you’re keen to get to a beach with some surf the closest is Tallebudgera Beach, less than ten minutes walk from the park. It’s patrolled daily, year round so you can go with peace of mind if you’re taking the little ones. If you happen to be here during School Holidays you’ll be even more spoiled for choice with a variety of activities running. During our last visit the kids had a ball playing laser tag one day and joining a colouring competition on another, whilst we enjoyed multiple movie nights in the evening with a screen set up on the grass next to the pool area.
Heads Up
This is a particularly large park which means there are a range of great facilities, but if you’re looking for a quieter, more boutique experience we’d recommend elsewhere.
