First Impressions
On arriving at the park you’ll notice that it is perched upon a small hill which isn’t enough to make you puffed on a walk, but is more than enough to provide uninterrupted views across the incredible blue waters of Horseshoe Bay and beyond. We do notice there are several Cabins at the back of the Park which seems to be quite an inferior location (turns out these are all annuals), but it looks well worth it that we have chosen one of the Premium Powered Sites located at the front of the park with uninterrupted ocean views. Staff are friendly and there’s plenty of high end vehicles around, so you can tell this is a park that leans to the premium end of the market.
The Offering
Multiple Sites are available from Unpowered (located at the rear of the park) through to various Powered options from the Premium Sites featuring a concrete slab and a view, through to Ensuite Powered Sites. There are multiple cabins available across three categories - Standard, Superior and Premium. The premium group are all recently built cabins with their own deck and BBQ area. That said, both Standard and Superior are also very well maintained and great options for groups of multiple sizes. For those looking to cook on site, there’s a clean and well equipped camp kitchen as well as a BBQ area. This isn’t a Park overflowing with facilities and activities, but you don’t need them given the proximity to all that Bermagui has to offer. The Park is incredibly well located, with just a 200m walk in one direction to the beautiful beach at Horseshoe Bay, or 300m in the other direction to get to the famed Blue Pool. The main shops of Bermagui town are also no more than a 500m walk away, yet with all this, the park still maintains a somewhat remote feeling. Dogs are currently welcome all year round on all Sites and selected Cabins.
Our Digs
We’re in one of the coveted Premium Powered Sites, situated at the front of the property with ocean views and concrete slabs to park on.
You’ll Drive Back For
Incredible views in a perfectly located park and a town that has plenty to offer beyond its natural beauty.
The Drive
Medium drives from Canberra and Sydney, and a longer one from Melbourne. All are doable in a day, but will need stops. If coming from Melbourne (and time is on your side) we’d recommend a few nights at one of the lovely towns along the way - our pick would be Lakes Entrance.
Canberra - 276 km
Sydney - 404 km
Melbourne - 668 km
