Cosy cabins, spacious sites and a great range of facilities make for a family-friendly base to explore the vibrant twin cities of Albury and Wodonga.

Eating & Drinking

There’s plenty of options when it comes time for your morning coffee, but our preference is to make the leisurely 15-20 minute stroll to Brothers Cup, a specialty coffee roastery. Note that the focus here is squarely on coffee and whilst there will be some snacks available (think your classic pastries from the cabinet), it is not a full service cafe.

For dinner or lunch out, 2640 Restaurant & Bar is our pick. The modern menu takes inspiration from a variety of different cuisines and is sure to have something for everyone. There’s even a great kids menu if you’re travelling with little ones. Whilst the menu is often changing, you’ll always find their signature eye fillet steak on the menu which is an absolute must if you’re a red meat fan - chargrilled local beef from the Kiewa Valley cooked over charcoal to absolute perfection.

If there’s any chocoholics in your group (or you’re simply after a sweet treat), don’t miss a visit to The Chocolate Labrador, a chocolate focussed cafe that is home to a huge range of both local and imported chocolates.

Within the park itself there’s plenty of room to cook with a sheltered Camp Kitchen and BBQ area the perfect place to whip up a feast and meet some fellow travellers.

To Do List

One of the cultural highlights in Albury is the Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA), a vibrant hub and one of the most visited art spaces in NSW outside Sydney. Located right on Dean Street beside QEII Square, the light-filled, redeveloped building blends heritage charm with contemporary design and is home to an impressive collection of works. With up to six exhibitions running at any time, MAMA showcases leading contemporary artists from Australia and around the world, while also offering guided tours, workshops, kids’ activities, and regular events. It’s open daily and entry is free.

Watersports lovers often make a bee-line to this region to visit Lake Hume. This playground for all things watersports is great for wakeboarding, water skiing, tube-riding, stand-up paddleboarding and even fishing. If you haven’t brought your own gear, pay a visit to the team at Lake Hume Hire & Fishing Charter who can set you up with a SUP, Kayak, BBQ Boat or even a pushbike if you’re keen to stay on dry land.

If you’re here with kids, be sure to make the short trip over the border to the twin town of Wodonga and visit the Inflatable Funhouse, and indoor playground packed with giant castles, slides and obstacle courses.
