Your guide to this area

Eating & Drinking

Our preference is to come well stocked with provisions and use the Camp Kitchen and BBQ facilities within the property. If you do need to stock up, drinks can be purchased from the on-site kiosk and a range of luxury food hampers are also available. The closest spot for additional groceries is Ballina, a 30-minute drive away - though this can be shortened if you take the car ferry over the river.

On-site you’ll also find Turtles Café, an ideal stop for your morning coffee (barista-made and as good as you’ll find along this coast) or a meal throughout the day, they’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The salt & pepper squid is a favourite of ours at lunch or dinner, and if you like seafood make sure you give the Moqueca a try - a flavour packed South American fish stew. The little ones are well taken care of too with a classic kids menu on offer.

Later in the day the Sunset Bar opens, the perfect place to unwind with friends old and new and enjoy a drink whilst taking in the stunning sunsets on offer in this region. It’s a must-visit on a Friday night when Happy Hour specials kick off and the soundtrack is provided by live music from talented local artists.

During peak periods the park will also host a range of local food trucks serving up everything from pizza to paella - check with the team on your arrival to find out if there’s anyone coming during your stay.

To Do List

In this warm climate you’ll be ready for a swim pretty quickly and the resort-style swimming pool is the perfect place to do it. If your preference is more sunbaking than swimming, there’s plenty of lounges next to the pool providing the ideal spot to read a book and enjoy the weather.  If they haven’t tired out from the swim, kids will have a ball playing around in the brand new water park which includes multiple sprinklers, slides and a tipping bucket.

The Holiday Park also has a strong emphasis on health & wellness, taking advantage of it’s setting. Throughout the property you’ll find a fitness circuit, rest and meditation spaces, a meditation garden forest and multiple walking tracks to enjoy.

From the Park it’s a short walk to South Ballina Beach, a secluded, untouched stretch of coastline great for swimming, surfing or just taking a stroll and enjoying the serenity of this nature-first location.

If you’re keen to cast a line, you’re in the right place. There’s options for surf fishing at the beach, along the rock wall as well as in the Richmond River. If you need bait it’s available for purchase in the resort's kiosk and there’s fish cleaning tables making it simple for you to prepare your catch for lunch or dinner.

Heads Up

With the Park being located in a relatively secluded location, the quickest way to access it if you are coming from the North is to hop on the Burns Point Car Ferry which crosses the Richmond River.
