Your guide to this area

Eating & Drinking

About 15 minutes walk (or a far shorter drive), you’ll find Coffee on Indi in the heart of the Red Cliffs area. It’s the ideal spot to make a morning walk to for a pick-me-up coffee at the start of the day. For a sweet treat in the morning or something savoury at lunch, Red Cliffs Bakery provides a range of affordable pastries and sandwiches, perfect for a quick bite.

Stefano’s Restaurant in Mildura is a must-visit for any foodies, offering an upscale Italian dining experience that has a reputation throughout Australia. You’ll need to book ahead and this isn’t a casual or quick bite - you’ll indulge in a five-course set menu which changes daily to showcase fresh and locally sourced produce. Sticking on the Italian theme but a bit more casual, we’re also big fans of 400 Gradi.

Within the park, you’ll find a modern and well-equipped Camp Kitchen including the excellent touch of a Pizza Oven and of course, BBQ facilities.

To Do List

We’re big fans of visiting the nearby Red Cliffs Scenic Reserve where you’ll find walking trails showcasing the striking red cliffs along the Murray River. For a further dive into the history of the local area, a short drive away the Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway provides a unique experience aboard a restored steam locomotive.

From the park it’s approximately a 15-minute drive to the town centre of Mildura where you’ll find plenty of great activities. We love taking a leisurely stroll along the river or heading out on a tour with the team at Mildura Paddlesteamers. Their Evening Dinner Cruise which only runs on Thursdays is a great opportunity to take in the beautiful sunset over the river.

If you’re up for a longer scenic drive, Hattah-Kulkyne National Park is just 40 minutes away and offers some of the most breathtaking outback landscapes in the region. It’s a very popular spot for hiking and walking offering a variety of trails where you may spot emus, kangaroos and koalas.

Within the park itself there’s plenty to do. Kids will have a ball playing in the playground and everyone will enjoy having a dip in the pool to escape the heat!
