The Park features a well-equipped Camp Kitchen and BBQ facilities - perfect for preparing your own meals after a day of wine tasting or exploring the local region. For supplies, there’s an IGA Supermarket in Rutherglen or a Woolworths in nearby Corowa.
For a standout morning coffee, head to The Pickled Sisters Café + Restaurant. Just a short drive from the Park, this welcoming café is known for its smooth coffee, house-baked treats, and a focus on fresh local produce. Sitting outside in a sunny morning here is pure serenity.
You can’t visit Rutherglen without grabbing lunch at Parker Pies. It’s an institution for a reason - flaky pastry, hearty fillings, and an impressive range of gourmet options (the lamb and rosemary is a personal favourite).
We treated ourselves and booked a table at Tuileries Restaurant at De Bortoli Rutherglen Estate. With seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and a wine list featuring estate-grown drops, it’s the kind of place where you slow down and savour every course. Ideal for a long lunch or relaxed dinner surrounded by vineyard views.
Start close to the Park: Take a short walk to the Rutherglen Wine Experience and Visitor Information Centre to grab a winery map and plan your tastings. The town’s historic main street is just around the corner - take a browse through some of the local boutiques.
Hire an E-bike from the Park and ride a section of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. The flat, scenic ride winds past cellar doors, bushland, and farmland.
Explore nearby cellar doors is of course top of the to-do list for manyn visitors. Our favourites include Campbells Wines, Pfeiffer Wines, and All Saints Estate. They’re all within a 10 minute drive or cycle. Many of the cellar doors offer casual platters or fine dining, and most welcome walk-ins.
Pack a picnic and head to Lake Moodemere, a tranquil local favourite for sunset views. Or head to Corowa to explore the banks of the Murray River on foot, or by kayak.
The Rutherglen Farmers Market (2nd Sunday of the month) showcases fresh local produce, gourmet treats, and handmade goods. Every March, the Tastes of RutherglenFestival is a celebration of wine, food, and live music across the region’s best venues. Note: this is a ticketed event.
Some wineries require bookings for tastings, especially on weekends and during local events. If you’ve got a favourite cellar door in mind, it’s best to book ahead to avoid missing out.
Check In is 2pm and Check Out is 10am for all accommodation.
Pets are welcome on all Powered Sites and in designated Pet Friendly Cabins. They’re not permitted in other accommodation types.
