Eating & Drinking

At Bimbi Park, self-catering is made convenient with a fully equipped camp kitchen featuring gas cookers, microwaves, kettles, a large commercial fridge, and a wood-fired oven. Additionally, there are BBQs and fire pits available for guest use. For essentials and treats, the on-site kiosk offers groceries, snacks, drinks, firewood, and even alcohol for guests.

For more extensive shopping needs, FoodWorks Apollo Bay is the nearest full-service supermarket, located approximately 30 minutes away.

If you are venturing into Apollo Bay, here are a couple of recommended spots:

Icaro Cafe is a standout for specialty coffee, light health-conscious meals. The local beachside community pours into this joint daily for smoothies and the home-eats that are free from refined sugar. The vast majority of produce is sourced locally - from the sourdough to the milk.

Apollo Bay Fishermen's Co-op is the real deal. If you're into seafood, it’s a must. Around 30 local boats drop their haul here (direct from the Bass Strait) daily, so everything’s as fresh as it gets. We got there early and watched Southern Rock Lobster come off the boats which is a great sight. You can eat in, take away, or pick up some Snapper, Calamari, or Octopus to cook back at the Park. In all honesty, grabbing a paper-wrapped bundle of fish and chips and finding a table by the water is the move.

To Do List

At Bimbi Park

There’s plenty to do for kids and adults who are big kids at-heart. Play a round of mini gold or splash about at the on site water park. Other highlights include the playground and basketball court. Fun continues for sports-lovers with badminton and table tennis. In the evening gather around a campfire under the stars. Often the team will run movie nights at the outdoor cinema.

Wildlife Watching

Bimbi Park is renowned for its resident koalas lounging in the manna gums. Keep an eye out for echidnas, possums, and a variety of bird species during your stay.

Cape Otway Lightstation

A short drive away, this historic lighthouse offers panoramic views of the Southern Ocean and a glimpse into maritime history. It's also a prime spot for whale watching between May and October.

Great Ocean Walk

Embark on a section of this 104km trail that stretches from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles. The segment near Bimbi Park offers coastal vistas, lush forests, and serene beaches.

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures

Experience the rainforest from above on a 600m-long treetop walk, or add some adrenaline with the zipline tour. It's an unforgettable way to see the Otways from a new perspective.

Heads Up

Bimbi Park is tucked away in the Otways, and mobile reception can be limited depending on your provider. It’s a good idea to download maps and any travel info before you arrive.

Pet Friendly

Pets are welcome across all Sites and in some Cabins at Bimbi Park. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed in shared park facilities or the adjacent national park.
