Eating & Drinking

Busselton is a vibrant town and you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to eating and drinking with most options centring around the main strip of Queen St., just under 4km. It’s an easy walk if you’re up for it but we recommend hopping in the car or a bike if there’s one accessible to you.

There’s an abundance of Cafes but be sure to pick the right one as they can be inconsistent, Little Peach Espresso and Obison Coffee Roasters are our two go-tos. The Goose is our favourite spot for a bite or drink with a view, located right on the Busselton Foreshore. They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as coffee and cake throughout the day and of course cocktails at sunset. In a similar area you’ll also find Kyst, another great foreshore restaurant operating all day. They are our slight preference when it comes to dining, although both venues do a great job and we wouldn't talk you out of visiting either.

Busselton is less than an hours drive away from the famous Margaret River wine region. There’s any number of gorgeous wineries to visit in an area known for both Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, our favourites are Leeuwin Estate, Howard Park and Cape Mentelle.

To Do List

About 150m from the park you’ll find the beach which is part of the 15km continuous stretch of the white sands and turquoise waters that make up Busselton Foreshore Beach. Calm protected waters and minimal surf make it an ideal spot for a swim, or to explore by kayak or SUP.

The town of Busselton itself is roughly 4km away and worth a visit for food and beverage destinations as noted in the previous section, but also to visit Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. This is far more than your ordinary jetty, being home to an underwater observatory made up of a 9.5-metre diameter observation chamber with 11 viewing windows offering a peek into the marine life ecosystem that has grown around an artificial reef here.

Whilst the region is known for its beaches, nearby Tuart Forest National Park is well worth a visit and home to several picturesque trails that can be explored on foot or by bike. It is home to largest remaining pure forest of Tuart trees (a species of Eucalypt) in the world.

Heads Up

Several Powered Sites are located directly next to the Swimming Pool and Playground areas and whilst there are plenty that aren’t, you can assure you avoid landing in one of these by booking a Powered Slab Site.
