To Do List

Wildlife and bird watching

Cathedrals on Fraser is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The campground is home to 116 bird species, including the elusive Black-breasted Buttonquail. Keep an eye out for goannas and kookaburras that frequently visit the area.

The amenities, location and staff couldn’t be better. The team who run Cathedrals are second to none; always willing to give you a hand or advice on the island 10/10! The shops has the essentials and the take-out burgers are great.

Most beautiful and comfy location on the stunning Fraser Island. We had the best week staying in a two bedroom cabin. The kids spent mornings and evenings playing volleyball with other kids from the camp grounds, or swinging around the playground. The shop had all the essential supplies to supplement the groceries we brought to the island with us. We headed out every day to places like Eli Creek, Indian Heads and Champagne Pools to enjoy the beautiful wilderness and watch whales and turtles in the sea.
The staff were super friendly, so wonderful in helping us navigate the island, tide times, travel times, and even our 4WD hire car. Can't thank them enough!! Michelle, Jack, Daniel, Miles and Charlie - thank you.
