Cooking up a storm without leaving the park is a breeze thanks to a well-equipped Camp Kitchen located in the communal area, as well as a separate BBQ area. If you’re staying in one of the Cabins or Glamping Tents, you’ll also have access to your own private kitchenette.
If you’re keen to get out to eat or drink, your best bet is to make the 20 minute drive to the nearby town of Kerang. Woodbox Coffee is our favourite spot here for a morning coffee, often enjoyed with one of their takeaway breakfast options - we’re always fans of a great bacon and egg roll or sandwich like they do here.
For a counter meal at lunch or dinner or just a cold beer in a friendly, country pub atmosphere, head to the Royal Hotel. There’s a fantastic kids menu so bring the little ones along, or if you would prefer for someone else to cook for you but to eat back in the convenience of your own accommodation, takeaway is available.
The park sits on Kangaroo Lake which is a hotspot for water skiing, attracting enthusiasts who take advantage of its expansive, calm waters. The lake is a favourite among locals and visitors looking for the perfect spot to ski, wakeboard, or jet ski, with ideal conditions for both beginners and experienced riders. There’s a boat ramp extending right out from the park to make life easy for you. Nearby, you’ll also find Lake Charm which offers another excellent location for water sports, with similarly smooth waters and plenty of space for boating, as well as Lake Boga, a go-to for a mix of water skiing, fishing, and a rich history, home to the famous Flying Boat Museum.
This location is a great base for exploring scenic walks in the region. Nearby, the Lake Charm Foreshore Walk offers a peaceful stroll along the water’s edge, perfect for birdwatching and taking in the lakeside views. It’s worth making the 45-minute drive to Nyah-Vinifera Park, a 1,000 hectare forest which has bushwalking trails through red gum forests and the Murray River winding through it. You might spot kangaroos, emus, and a variety of birdlife.
When you’re ready to cool down after a day out in the Northern Victorian sun, there’s a fantastic swimming pool onsite.
This property is located in a beautiful, nature-first spot on the banks of Kangaroo Lake, which does mean you won’t find any shops in walking distance.
Check In is 2pm and Check Out is 11am for all accommodation.
