Eating & Drinking

One of the perks of staying right on Corrigans Beach is how close you are to good food. For your morning start, we recommend taking the short 10-minute walk to Espresso Garden. They do a reliably smooth coffee and an excellent smashed avo with eggs and cherry tomatoes – simple, fresh and exactly what you want before a day on the water.

When it’s time for something more substantial, JJ’s at the Marina is a favourite for its relaxed vibe and oceanfront views. Their seafood is the standout, and if you’re a mussel fan, the steamed-to-order black mussels with house-made sourdough are hard to pass up.

For lunch, Innes Boatshed is our go-to. Housed in an old waterfront cottage right on the Clyde River, it’s a classic South Coast fish-and-chip spot with plenty of outdoor seating. Busy for a reason – everything is fresh, fast and perfect for a casual feed in the sun.

Batemans Bay is well known for its Clyde River oysters, and you’ll spot them on menus all over town. If you love oysters, this is the place to try them – they’re as local as it gets.

If you’d prefer to keep things easy at the park, there’s a fully equipped Camp Kitchen and plenty of BBQ areas, making self-catering a breeze after a day exploring the bay.

To Do List

A short drive from the resort, Clyde River National Park feels wonderfully wild despite being so close to town. We’ve paddled sections of the river here and it’s incredibly peaceful — glassy water, dense bushland on either side, and the odd sea eagle overhead. It’s also a great spot for a gentle bushwalk or a quiet afternoon of fishing tucked away from the crowds.

Being right next to the resort, Corrigans Beach becomes an easy daily ritual. The water is calm and shallow, perfect for families, and the foreshore reserve is a lovely spot to spread out a picnic or kick a ball around. On sunny mornings we like to take a stroll along the sand before the day gets going — it’s one of the most relaxed beaches in the region.

Catalina Golf Course - Try your hand at the championship 27-hole golf course in the heart of Batemans Bay. Even if you’re not a golfer, the clubhouse is worth a visit. It’s a friendly spot for a cold drink, a meal or catching some live sport on the big screens.

Only 15 minutes from the resort, Mogo Wildlife Park always ends up being a highlight. Because it’s a smaller zoo, you get much closer to the animals — we’ve had unforgettable moments watching the gorillas up close and seeing giraffes wander right past the viewing platforms.

Heads Up

The park is beautifully family-oriented, so expect a lively atmosphere during school holidays.
