Our favourite spot for breakfast or lunch is Albert & Co, dishing up cafe classics in a beautifully designed and kept venue on the Esplanade. If you’re a fan of Baked Eggs, we highly recommend getting here for breakfast - theirs are one of our favourite dishes. Within the park you’re spoiled for choice with cooking facilities thanks to a well maintained camp kitchen, BBQs and even a pizza oven. There’s also a kiosk within the park that is well stocked with basic supplies. If you’re looking for something a bit more upmarket, we highly recommend Sodafish, serving up delicious locally caught fresh seafood in a refined setting that is actually floating out on the water in a refurbished ferry.

Lakes Entrance is home to a unique system of inland waterways and multiple lakes crossing over each other and feeding out to the beach. This makes for both spectacular scenery and a range of great water-based activities to do. Our favourite beach is Eastern Beach, which happens to be located a very short walk from the park. It’s patrolled through all school holidays and the busier periods of the year. When you’re keen for a swim but are happy to do without the sand, the pool onsite is generously proportioned with plenty of space both for those splashing around in the pool and those who prefer to lounge beside it. Fishermen will be very happy with this choice of destination, with Bream and Flathead both in abundance as well as a variety of other fish. For a land based activity, head to the Griffiths Sea Shell Museum and Marine Display to learn more about the local marine life and check out their extensive collection of shells.

The camp facilities here are well-known amongst the avid campers for being top-notch. The pizza oven in particular, is a big hit.
