Eating & Drinking

Seasn Cafe is our favourite spot for our morning coffee and something to eat to get the day going. There’s hearty meals to have there, or grab a Bacon & Egg Roll or something from the cabinet to go as you head off on your adventures for the day. For a drink at the end of the day you can’t go wrong hanging out within the park and taking in the million dollar views over Lake Jindabyne, but if you want something indoors head across the road where you’ll find Pinot’s Wine Bar. Most other bar options are located within the various hotels dotted around the lake all in walking distance. Bacco Restaurant is our favourite spot for a meal in the evening, with an authentic Italian menu and a great selection of pizzas that are also available for take away if you don’t feel like sitting in. Speaking of pizzas, we highly recommend bringing some provisions and taking advantage of the pizza ovens within the park, there is even a dedicated herb garden for use by all guests. We love cooking up a pizza and enjoying it by the communal campfire.

To Do List

Jindabyne is fantastic to visit year round, but of course if you’re here in the winter, take the opportunity to ski or snowboard on the slopes of one of Australia’s famous mountains, with the park being set between Perisher and Thredbo. If you’re a beginner, we’d lean towards visiting Perisher, however both mountains have excellent schools available where you learn to ski or board. If you’re keen to fish despite the inland location you’re in the right place, with the park being located on the banks of Lake Jindabyne and with its own boat ramp, it's easy to get out on the water. You’ll find plenty of trout here year round. One of the best ways to explore this beautiful high-country area is on horseback, and we highly recommend the team at Thredbo Valley Horse Riding. They have a variety of rides on offer, from 1-hour to half day travel rides. It’s always a privilege to visit these stables and see the incredible care that they take of their horses.

Heads Up

If you’re here during snow season and need to hire equipment be sure to book ahead as many stores will sell out, particularly during school holidays and on weekends.
