It’s well worth splashing the extra money for an Ensuite Powered Site here as they also happen to have the best location, lining up in a row on the beach side of the park. You’ll be able to hear the waves rolling in from your site, but you’re also just a short walk to the pool and other common areas. A perfect location.

Eat & Drink
A short walk away you’ll find Bar Beach Kiosk, idyllically located where the Merimbula Lake meets the bay and serving up the best coffee in town from well known coffee roasters Single O. This is one of Australia’s most famous regions for oysters, and we recommend heading over to nearby Pambula to visit Wheelers Seafood and Oyster Farm. This modern restaurant offers mouthwatering seafood with farm fresh oysters, and we highly recommend going on their oyster tour to learn more about this intriguing industry. Dulcie’s Cottage is another favourite, serving up burgers, oysters, craft beers and cocktails out of a renovated weatherboard cottage in town. If you’re after a casual local drink and counter meal, our pick is to head to the RSL where you’ll also find live music on weekends.
To Do List
The park has electric bikes for hire which we think is a great way to explore the unique geography of this area and get a sense for where everything is. When the sun is out at a location like this our priority is going for a swim, and whilst we love the resort style swimming pool at the park, a short walk away you’ll find Bar Beach. With a unique location in the channel between the lake and the ocean it's a beautiful spot to swim in turquoise waters. If you’ve got some animal loving kids (or adults) in your group, head over to Potoroo Palace, an animal sanctuary and education centre located 10 minutes drive away. It's a great place to learn more about native animals in the area and get up close with kangaroos, emus and ducks who roam the park freely. You can even buy a bag of feed and feed them by hand! Of course, you can always head to our Merimbula Destination Guide to discover more.
Heads Up
This park is located on Merimbula Beach, but the main township of Merimbula is found on Merimbula Lake which can be confusing. This is roughly 2 km away, and an easy enough walk or bike ride if you don’t want to take the car. There are limited amenities available on the ‘beach side’ of Merimbula.
