Eat & Drink
A short walk away in the town of South Durras you’ll find a General Store where you can pick up provisions and a coffee. The best dining to be had in this area however is within the park itself. The park has three options, a bistro, poolside bar and takeaway shop, and food is served up from 7:30am through to 8pm with a menu of resort classics. Our favourite at breakfast time is the Buttermilk Pancakes, served with whipped cream, butter, maple syrup and seasonal fruits. If it’s later in the day, you’ll find us indulging in a pizza - we can’t even narrow it down to one to recommend, they’re all fantastic. Beverage options are vast, with excellent coffee all day and a selection of local and craft beers, wines and cocktails available from midday.
To Do List
Enjoying all that these beautiful natural surroundings have to offer should be at the top of any visitors list. Work up a sweat on one of the many trails through Murramarang National Park (our favourite is the Pretty Beach and Snapper Point Loop), then cool off with a swim in the ocean or if you’d prefer, head straight to the pool. This is definitely a family friendly park and the little ones will love the pool, playground and the chance to hire one of the pedal carts and cruise around the roads of the park which are well kept and safe. If you’re keen to cast a line you won’t be disappointed, with several great fishing spots directly on the beach or if you’re lucky enough to be travelling with a boat, a boat ramp located on site to launch out into the ocean.
Heads Up
This secluded location is a short walk to the South Durras township, however don’t expect a huge range of amenities to be found there. There’s a General Store for your basic provisions, so we recommend arriving well stocked and/or enjoying the park’s onsite drinking and dining options - a bistro, pool bar and takeaway shop.
