Eating & Drinking

The BBQ areas scattered around the property make for perfect alfresco dinners under the Karri canopy. On-site, the Lakeside Restaurant delivers exactly what the name promises: breathtaking views of Lake Beedelup through its surrounding glass windows, with options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and an inviting cocktail lounge by the fire. In Pemberton town, 20 minutes away, start your morning at Cafe Brasil, perfect for early risers looking for quality coffee, leisurely breakfast or lunch, from savoury toasties and salads to a tempting selection of cakes and pastries. For something heartier, Wild at Heart Café serves generous breakfast plates, homemade cakes and daily specials packed with local produce flavour. Treehouse Tapas and Wine Bar is our pick for evening drinks and share plates, while Hidden River Estate offers an exceptional winery restaurant experience with generous portions and a stunning outdoor deck showcasing views across the vines. Don't miss The Crossings Bakery for pies that locals rave about, and finish any meal with a stop at Southern Forests Chocolate Company for handmade treats to take back to the resort.

To Do List

Right at the resort, we loved the daily rhythm of lake life: canoeing or paddleboarding across the glassy water at sunrise, trying our hand at archery, perfecting our swing on the 18-hole mini golf course, and letting the kids loose on the animal farm and nature playground. Swimming in the lake is allowed, and the walking trails that wind through the karri forest from your doorstep make it easy to disappear into nature without going anywhere. Just 2.5 kilometres away, Beedelup Falls is an absolute must: a suspension bridge crosses over Beedelup Brook providing superb views of the falls, and there's a 50-minute return walk to the famous Walk-through Karri, a 400-year-old tree with a human-sized hole cut right through the middle. Three kilometres south of Pemberton town, Gloucester Tree is the world's tallest climbable tree, while the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree offers similar thrills with its 20-metre viewing platform. On Swimming Pool Road in Pemberton, Pemberton Mountain Bike Park boasts 30 kilometres of sweet single track, a jump and pump track, and the historic Pemberton Pool sits right at the trailhead—a natural forest-shaded swimming hole constructed in the 1920s. For a scenic journey, the Pemberton Tramway runs old timber train lines through the forest to the Cascades, and Warren National Park 15 kilometres southwest showcases some of the state's most majestic old-growth karri trees with bushwalking and canoeing on the Warren River.

Heads Up

The property is split by the Vasse Highway, with the campground located on the opposite side of the road from the lake and main resort facilities. It is a scenic 20-minute walk or a very quick bike ride between the two, so we recommend bringing bikes or scooters to make zipping back and forth for activities and meals a breeze.
