Eating & Drinking

On site Woolshed Restaurant offers a true taste of the Flinders Ranges, serving Modern Australian cuisine in a charming, authentic woolshed setting. Enjoy seasonal dishes featuring local produce, including Rawnsley’s own lamb, paired with wines from the Southern Flinders, Clare Valley, and Barossa regions. Choose a cosy spot by the fire in winter or dine on the deck during warmer weather. Fully licensed and perfect for any occasion, the restaurant also caters to events like weddings and corporate gatherings.

No matter your choice of accommodation, cooking up a storm on site is a breeze thanks to ample facilities. All Cabins come with kitchens or kitchenettes, and Sites have access to great communal facilities including a Camp Kitchen and BBQ.

Don’t stress if you haven’t come stocked with provisions, the on-site Rawnsley Park Shop makes mealtime easy, offering groceries like fresh produce and meat for cooking on-site, plus ice creams, snacks, and alcohol for treats. Conveniently located in the Caravan Park area, it’s just a five-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the holiday units.

To Do List

The Flinders Ranges is an incredible slice of nature to explore on foot, and you are spoiled for choice here with a variety of tracks and trails to suit various fitness levels. Our favourite is the 8km return Rawnsley Bluff hike, offering sweeping views over Wilpena Pound at the top. The Station offers a range of guided walking tours, if you’re interested have a chat to the team on site and explore the options.

Exploration isn’t limited to what you can do on foot, with a number of both 4WD and Mountain Bike tracks available. You can even take in the breathtaking scenery of this area from above, by joining a scenic flight or helicopter trip, which can also be arranged by the team at the Station.

Back at the station, the pool is the perfect spot to cool off and relax after a day of exploring. There are multiple on site, which one you have access to will depend on the time of accommodation you have booked.

Heads Up

This is a remote area, so if you’re at all worried about fuel for your onward journey make sure you fill up at the on site station before departing.
