Eating & Drinking

Despite being a smaller town compared to some of its fellow Northern Rivers holiday destinations, Lennox Head still boasts a fabulous bar and restaurant scene. Williams St Bar and Kitchen is a favourite of ours and is just as good in the morning for a slice of cake and a coffee as it is in the afternoon for one of their famous Margaritas and something more substantial from the Pan-Asian leaning menu. The Barramundi Curry is particularly good.

Shelter is another fantastic option and just like William St is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are more likely to find ourselves here at dinner time and love their Modern Australian menu with a focus on local produce. Trust the chefs and go for the Market Fish of the day.

Kopi Lennox is our favourite spot if we’re just after a coffee and from Thursday to Sunday it also doubles as a Natural Wine bar in the afternoons, staying open until 6pm.

To Do List

The park is located close to Lake Ainsworth, one of the several lakes in the area surrounded by Tea Trees that have had their oil seep into the lake giving it medicinal properties and providing a unique swimming experience. That flat waters also make it a great spot for Kayaking or SUPing. On the other side of the park you’ll find Lennox Head beach, a well known surf spot. If you’re keen to learn to surf the team at Kool Katz Surf School run lessons at Lennox Head and come highly recommended.

There are several walking trails and bike trails nearby if you’re keen to explore the area. The Lennox to Ballina Coastal Path is a well constructed and safe bike path that runs along 18 km of coastline from Lennox Head to Ballina. This is a great way to explore this beautiful part of the world for as long as you wish - no one is saying you have to go the full 18 km before turning around!

Whilst many Holiday Parks say they are Pet Friendly, this is one that goes above and beyond in living this and even includes an off leash area for dogs, a dog washing bay and is close to a dog friendly beach - so don’t hesitate in bringing all your family members!

Heads Up

Due to its particularly pet friendly offering, this park has become a hub for those travelling with their four-legged friends. If your preference is to not be around dogs, we recommend finding alternative accommodation.
