Whilst Scotts Head is only a small town there’s still several options when it comes to dining and drinking, all of which are walking distance from the park. Scotts Hub is an interesting new concept with a changing menu open daily for breakfast and coffee and often in the evenings as well. It’s our pick for a morning coffee and something to eat off their brunch menu. We are particularly fans of the great Smoothie options which always go down well on a coastal holiday. Tasty Bites Bakery is located just metres from your accommodation and has a great selection of sweet treats and uniquely for a bakery, also cooks up some delicious burgers that are well worth a try. Swell Bistro at Club Scotts is a great spot for a counter meal or a pizza, open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. They also have a great kids menu which will be sure to keep the little ones full and happy. On weekends and holidays you’ll often find live music here as well as a variety of other events and specials, be sure to call ahead to find out more. If you’re keen just to stay on site both the Camp Kitchen and BBQ areas are clean and well maintained.
The team at Unkya Cultural Eco Tours run some fantastic tours out of Scotts Head where you can learn about the indigenous history of this area in Gumbaynggirr country. There’s a 1.5 hour tour and a 3.5 hour tour, both of which will take you through the National Park and the beach where you'll learn about the traditions, history and way of life of the local aboriginal people and their relationship with the beautiful local ecosystem. If you’ve always wanted to learn to surf you are in the right place with the Trent Munro Surf Academy, run by former professional surfer Trent Munro, based here. There’s various lesson options available and we highly recommend it. Of course if you already know how to surf, this stretch of coast has various great breaks for you to enjoy. The surf is relatively gentle and with several protected spots the beach is also great for Kayaking or SUP, as is the nearby Warrell Creek river.
If you’re looking for a roofed option with its own bathroom, your best bet is a Tiny Home. Whilst Scotts Head is a small and quiet town, there is a well stocked IGA and Bakery so don’t stress if you haven’t come with all your provisions.
Check In is from 11am for Sites and 3pm for Cabins, Glamping and Tiny Homes, Check Out is 10am for all accommodation.
