Eating & Drinking

The farm has a strong emphasis on hospitality, and ensuring guests have a range of options for eating is a big part of this. On Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays a Coffee & Food Van operates on site serving up barista made coffee and a rotating food menu including toasties and various baked goods both sweet and savoury. On Saturday nights the team serves up Fish and Chips from the Camp Kitchen and will also at times fire up the Pizza Ovens and serve Pizzas. For both of these options, you’ll need to plan ahead and ensure the team has your order by 3pm.

We love the Picnic Hamper service where the park will prepare a beautiful hamper for you which you can enjoy on a picnic rug in a private spot around the property. The Chicken & Halloumi Wraps in our hamper at our last visit were particularly delicious, and they made sure to also include plenty of kid-friendly options for the little ones. I

f you happen to be staying in one of the Glamping options, you’ll receive a breakfast hamper on arrival and fresh bread delivered to you daily. Keen to do it all yourself? The Camp Kitchen is well stocked and includes electric BBQ’s, an oven, stove top, microwave, kettle and toaster.

To Do List

Whilst Splitters Farm is just a 15 minute drive away from the town of Bundaberg, we think a stay at a place like this is all about what you can experience on the property so we’ll be focusing our to do list on that.

The park operates both a working farm and a refuge for rescued animals, so you’ll encounter a wide variety of different creatures across your visit including Alpacas, Cows, Goats, Pigs and more! Self-guided touring of the farm and visiting various animals is welcomed, but if you’d like to learn more a guided tour can also be booked, just visit the team at reception and ask for more details.

The farm is bordered by Splitters Creek which is great to explore by Kayak or Canoe which can be hired from reception. You’ll also find bass & barramundi in the creek, and catch-and-release fishing is welcomed. If you’re keen on a refreshing dip, you can swim in both Splitters Creek and the farm's freshwater dam year round.

On Saturday nights (and some additional nights during school holidays) the team operate an outdoor cinema, a great place to cosy up under the stars and enjoy a film.

Heads Up

The farm has a huge emphasis on animals with a wide variety of species living on site. If you’re someone who prefers to keep their company to humans, we suggest looking for an alternative place to stay.
