We recommend coming well stocked with your own provisions and ready to cook on site, be it in your own set up or using the communal Camp Kitchen or BBQs, both of which are great choices. 

The closest places to eat and drink you’ll find are roughly 15 minutes away by car, the Torrumbarry Hotel and Torrumbarry Roadhouse. 

Venturing slightly further afield and you’ll find a great butcher in the town of Gunbower, or head to Leitchville where there’s an IGA and a few additional shops including another great butcher and a classic country bakery. To rapidly expand your options head 30 minutes in the other direction to the town of Echuca which has several cafes, bars and restaurants. Our favourite spots there are The American Hotel for a drink on the rooftop when the sun is out, or Sunago for classic Greek Fare.

Located on the banks of the mighty Murray River, most of the drawcard activities here are done on the water. This particular spot of the Murray is known for its fishing, and you’ll find both Golden Perch and Murray Cod which can be taken back to the park and cooked up for dinner. 

If you’ve got a boat the river is easily accessed thanks to a nearby boat ramp and is a popular spot for waterskiing and wakeboarding. In the summer months you’ll be feeling like a dip in no time, and the river is always a refreshing spot or of course there’s a great swimming pool at the park. 

If your preference is some activity on the land, there’s several walking trails and bike paths in the area. 

The park is located in a quiet spot away from any towns, so either come prepared with provisions to cook on site or prepared to make a 20-30 minute drive to one of the nearby towns to find shops and restaurants.
