Eating & Drinking

Head to Hobbledehoy Café and Distillery, just a 2-minute drive from the park, for a coffee with character. This quirky café roasts its own beans, ensuring a quality brew whether you're after a classic espresso or a smooth cold drip. If you feel like something extra, their homemade pastries and small-batch spirits make for a unique morning treat.

For a special dining experience, head to Chrismont Restaurant & Larder, just a 10-minute drive away. Overlooking lush vineyards, this venue serves modern Italian dishes paired with award-winning King Valley wines. If you're feeling indulgent, try the house-made gnocchi alongside a glass of local Prosecco. Bookings recommended, especially on weekends.

If you're after something more laid-back, Mountain View Hotel in Whitfield is your go-to. This classic country pub is known for its hearty meals and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're craving a classic parma, a quality steak, or just a cold beer, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.

The park features a well-equipped camp kitchen with an oven, microwave, kettle, and plenty of bench space. BBQ facilities are coin-operated ($1 per use).

To Do List

From the park, we hired an e-bike and took a scenic ride through the King Valley wine region.

If you love wine, the King Valley is Prosecco country, and a visit to Dal Zotto Wines and Pizzini Wines is a must. Dal Zotto Wines are the pioneers of Prosecco in Australia, offering tastings and Italian-style antipasto platters daily. Pizzini Wines offers a showcase of Italian varietals, with an exceptional cellar door experience. If you want something hands-on, their morning cooking classes teach the art of traditional Italian cuisine (bookings required).

If you love the outdoors, there are plenty of scenic walks nearby. Paradise Falls (20 minute drive) is a short, family-friendly walk leads to a stunning hidden waterfall cascading over a rock ledge. Powers Lookout (15 minute drive), named after the infamous bushranger Harry Power, is an elevated lookout offers sweeping views of the valley. Mount Cobbler (45 minute drive) is a more challenging hike leading to breathtaking summit views—perfect for those seeking adventure.

The Moyhu Farmers Market runs on the 3rd Saturday of every month and is a great spot to sample and stock up on fresh local produce, artisan baked goods, and gourmet treats. Located just 15 minutes from the park.

Heads Up

La Dolce Vita Festival takes place across the region in mid-November each year. It’s an iconic celebration of Italian winemaking, family, and food. If you're planning to visit, book your accommodation early as demand is high.
