We love the great travelling tradition of enjoying a well-earned drink at the end of the day and admiring a sunset. Whether you’ve earned it relaxing at the beach or out working up a sweat on a national park hike, these are the five best spots to do it on the Sapphire Coast.

1. HARBAR: BERMAGUI
Situated in the Bermagui Fishermen’s Wharf, this rustic but charming bar is a perfect spot to take in the sunset with boats rolling into the Bermagui Harbour in the foreground. The friendly team serves up a variety of delicious cocktails as well as their own brewed craft beers from 4pm Wednesday - Sunday each week. If you’re keen to hang around for dinner options are limited to grazing plates as this is very much a drinks driven venue. We’d recommend heading into one of the various other great local spots for a meal if you have a larger appetite.

Where to find it: Shop 6/73-79 Lamont St, Bermagui NSW

2. TATHRA HOTEL: TATHRA
Sitting on the hill in Tathra with 270-degree views over the ocean, the Tathra Hotel is a great spot for elevated pub fare enjoyed with one of their many beers that are brewed on-site. Nab a spot on the deck and enjoy the view as the sun goes down. If you’re keen to hang around for dinner, there’s plenty of fantastic options and we always recommend this place as one of our favourites in Tathra.

Where to find it: 8-12 Bega St, Tathra NSW

3. GREAT SOUTHERN INN: EDEN
A salt-of-the-earth pub sporting an expansive deck with beautiful views over the bay, this is the sort of place that has stood the test of time and could not change for another 100 years and still be as popular as it is today. Enjoy a cold beer and a view like so many who have gone before you at this brilliant coastal pub. If you’re keen to hang around for dinner you’ll be in for classic pub fare.

Where to find it: 158 Imlay St, Eden NSW

4. AQUA: PAMBULA BEACH
Operating as a kiosk throughout the day, this unsuspecting spot also happens to serve up fantastic cocktails and given its beachfront location it is a must-visit come sunset. We love getting a Carafe of their Sangria, and knowing that if hunger strikes earlier than expected we can order a pizza or one of their several sharing plates to snack on. If you’re keen to hang around for dinner, there's plenty of other options that all lean more casual (think Fish and Chips or Burgers), but do note that things close up by around 7pm.

Where to find it: 1 Pambula Beach Rd, Pambula Beach NSW
