Hotel Brunswick, Brunswick Heads

A classic coastal pub with a sprawling beer garden, great drinks and live music, all overlooking the serene waters of Simpsons Creek.

First Impressions
After spending the day relaxing by the water, we wander over to the pub for a drink and early dinner. The first thing we notice is the sprawling beer garden that you walk right into at the entry to the pub, looking like the perfect spot to park ourselves. There’s plenty of seats and shade from both trees and umbrellas, with an outlook over the blue waters of Simpsons Creek. The pub building itself is a classic and has a retro charm to it, and service at the bar is relaxed and friendly. It’s the sort of place you can’t help but feel you want to relax into your time at, not just pop by for a quick drink.

The Offering
The large beer garden is the ideal place to settle in for a few drinks in the balmy Northern Rivers weather overlooking picturesque waters where creek, river and ocean meet. There’s a solid selection of beers on tap extending from the standard pub rotation to include several craft beers as well, as well as options for spirits drinkers, wine drinkers or those looking for something non-alcoholic. Food wise, there’s everything that might tickle your fancy depending on your mood. If you’re just visiting for a few drinks there’s plenty of great snack options - we love the chicken wings served with hot sauce & ranch dressing, and the patatas bravas always hit the spot. If you’re after something more substantial you’ll find pizzas, burgers and pub classics. Kids are well catered for too, with their own menu featuring all the usual suspects. If you prefer to come to the pub for entertainment, you’re in the right place. Sport is always playing across the various screens (there’s even a schedule available as to what will be playing when on their website) and live music gigs are frequent.
