Eating & Drinking

The Park offers a tidy Camp Kitchen and BBQ area. Whether it’s your fresh catch from the inlet or an easy dinner for the kids, you’ll have the essentials to cook up a fuss-free meal.

For a cup of coffee we recommend driving to The Windmill Café in Toora (15 minutes away), a charming spot known for its homemade cakes, and relaxed country vibe. The deck out the back is perfect for a slow morning.

Right in town, the Port Welshpool General Store is your go-to for classic fish and chips. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and it's an easy option for lunch or a relaxed dinner by the water. Their potato cakes are especially good.

For a more refined lunch, head 20 minutes inland to The Kitchen Table in Foster. This warm, modern eatery serves seasonal dishes with local produce and offers one of the best dining experiences in South Gippsland. The duck confit (if it’s still on their ever-changing menu) is worth the detour. Bookings recommended on weekends.

To Do List

Long Jetty Caravan Park sits right on the edge of Corner Inlet, making it an ideal launchpad for exploring Port Welshpool and beyond.

Let’s start with a walk along the historic 800-metre Long Jetty - sunrise and sunset views across to Wilson's Prom are hard to beat. The area’s a favourite for fishing, with snapper, squid and flathead regularly caught from the jetty, shoreline, or your own boat via the nearby ramp.

For those keen to stay active, the Great Southern Rail Trail runs from Port Welshpool through lush countryside and is perfect for walking or cycling. It’s a multi-use trail covering 130KM and passing through 14 towns in the area.

Just 15 minutes away, Agnes Falls offers a short scenic walk to Victoria’s highest single-span waterfall—great for a relaxed morning out with a picnic.

Wildlife lovers must make a day-trip to Wilsons Promontory National Park (around 1 hour drive) for bush-walks, white sand beaches and the chance to spot wombats or wallabies in the wild.

Families will enjoy a visit to the Port Albert Maritime Museum, and if you’re in town during summer, the Sea Days Festival is a must for food, music, and maritime heritage.

Heads Up

Port Welshpool is a quiet, coastal town with limited shops and no major supermarket. Your best bet is to stock up in Foster or Yarram before you arrive. The local general store has basics, snacks, and takeaway, but options can be limited, especially outside peak season.

Pet Friendly

Pets are welcome on all Powered Sites and in designated Pet Friendly Cabins. They’re not permitted in other accommodation types.
